things i like

i like to like things. i also like to remember that i like things, because i feel that remembering things that i like lets me like them all over again. these are things i like:

• room for squares - john mayer. it's true, i like this. it makes me think of some of my good friends who also like this, and with whom i've had the pleasure of liking this.
• nag champa incense
• nutrigrain bars. they remind me of being 12. also, i am a sucker for fruit filling
• the way my over-sized tea mug feels in my cold hands
• quotes. maybe because i am not the most eloquent or thoughtful person myself, i like to collect other people's eloquent thoughts. i write them in my dandelion seed journal (which i also like) and look at them often
• when my friends update their facebook statuses with happy things
• clear sidewalks after a long long winter. clear sidewalks allow me to actually like the snow that is piled up everywhere else.
• the ridiculous picture of my dad at mcdonalds that pops up whenever my parents call me. one, because it means my parents are calling me, and two, because it reminds me of when my dad took me to mcdonalds for my "welcome home" dinner.
• i really like Gaddafi. he is funny and ridiculous in that evil dictator/terrorist sponsor meets michael jackson sorta way.
• planning trips i will never take
• buying books i will never read
• also, if you are reading this, you are probably a person that i like. otherwise you are a creepy internet stalker. in which case i also kind of like you, because we share a hobby
